Welcome greetings by NOC President Mr. Gian Primo Giardi

I give my personal greetings and by the National Olympic Committee of San Marino with great pleasure to all those who will take part in the sixth edition of the European Championship for Small Nations.

Once again San Marino and one of the San Marino National Sports Federations host an event dedicated to the Small States, confronting the same level is essential to improve and achieve stimulating goals for the whole environment. The hope is that the double challenge, both organizational and sports, will close with a great Sammarinese victory.

The National Olympic Committee of San Marino has always supported the federations that take up the challenge of bringing sporting events to the territory and in this case we can not fail to thank the San Marino Chess Federation, its President, the Federal Council and all the volunteers committed to making the event unforgettable and to ensure that everything is carried out according to the highest standards of hospitality and organization.

To all the delegations that will participate in the European Championship, on behalf of the San Marino sports movement, a warm welcome in the most ancient Republic of Europe. I am sure you can experience the traditional hospitality of San Marino and appreciate our sporting traditions.
